  • 1 lb ground beef, or ground turkey
  • 1⁄2 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 package (1 1/4 ounce) taco seasoning mix
  • 6 large flour tortilla
  • 1 can (16 ounce) refried beans
  • 2 cup (up to 3) taco cheese, or cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounce) cream of mushroom soup
  • 4 oz sour cream
  • 1 jarred hot sauce, optional

  1. Brown ground meat and onion; drain.
  2. Add taco seasoning and stir in refried beans.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix soup and sour cream.
  4. Spread 1/2 sour cream mixture in the bottom of a casserole dish.
  5. Tear up 3 tortillas and place over sour cream mixture.
  6. Put 1/2 of meat and bean mixture on top of tortillas.
  7. Add a layer of cheese.
  8. Sprinkle with hot sauce if using.
  9. Repeat the layers.
  10. Sprinkle cheese over the top and bake uncovered at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20-30 minutes.
